ENABLE is a local voluntary organisation that promotes inclusion for people with a disability throughout the Southern Area.
The Transition project provides a range of support to young people transitioning between school and adults services, enabling them to access opportunities within their local communities and further a field. The project shapes itself to the individuals involved, facilitating them to participate in activity-based opportunities that they have aspired to do, but never have had the opportunity. This project focuses on the individual, providing the necessary support for participation in the provision, whether this is personal care, transport or appropriate supervision. The support provided should give young people the choice to experience new environments and avail of new opportunities. The project will aim to improve the quality of service for people with a Disability by promoting a person centred approach and ensuring an ethos of social inclusion, choice and giving individuals control over their lives.
