The Stroke Association Northern Ireland The Stroke Association strives for a world where there are fewer strokes and all those touched by stroke get the help they need. A Stroke Association Communication Skills Development Group Volunteer would spend time with, and support members during meetings. We are looking for friendly and patient people with a flexible approach, excellent communication skills and the ability to work direct without supervision. Support and training such as an induction to your role and an understanding of stroke and aphasia will be provided as well as ongoing support from the regional office the OPO and service manager. Volunteers will be reimbursed out of pocket expenses. Access NI checks will be required for this role along with two satisfactory references.
