The Placement & Access Project is funded by the Big Lottery and the Southern Health and Social Care Trust. Several volunteers registered with the project are currently taking part in making a village from wax. The project began by volunteers attending a session to express their ideas in how it could be developed. This included what some of them had personally experienced and what others would like to experience in the future, they also brought in pictures from magazines etc and researched the internet for ideas. The next step was deciding on how to bring together all the ideas and incorporate it into the village. At present the project is almost completed and the volunteers have thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The making of the wax village has made a huge impact on the volunteer’s lives by building up their confidence and forming new friendships.
